(Greenland) DIS Study Abroad: Arctic Experiential Studies

Greenland's flag

The Arctic is at the center of critical global issues. This unique program introduces students to Greenland's history, culture, and contemporary life. Additional areas of focus include climate change, geopolitics, and ecopsychology. Four weeks of exploration in Greenland is bookended by weeklong stays in Copenhagen. Much of the learning in Greenland happens outside the classroom through collaborations with local partners ranging from Inuit organizations to cultural practitioners and researchers. Admission is highly competitive, but, aside from roundtrip airfare to and from Copenhagen, admitted students are fully funded by the DIS Green Education Fund.
